Telamon Plays to Support New England Adolescent Research Institute:
Coming in 18th to Win $13,100 for NEARI in the Chubb Charity Challenge

 

NEWTON, Mass., November 6, 2008 - Every year since its creation in 2000, Chubb Charity Challenge Golf Tournament brings together insurance agents, brokers, and customers to raise money for charity. Over the past 8 years, Chubb Charity Challenge has raised over $6 million for charity.  Telamon has been a proud participant in the tournament for several years now to help raise money for local charities.

 

This year, Telamon Insurance & Financial Network came in 18th of 44 teams during the Chubb Charity Challange at Red Sky Golf Club in Colorado on September 22nd and 23rd, winning $13,100 for their charity of choice, New England Adolescent Research Institute.  On Friday, October 31st, Telamon's Gregory Susco (Vice President) and Elena Smalky (Vice President of Services) were able to personally present a check for $13,100 to to the staff and students at NEARI during their Halloween celebration.

Telamon's chosen charity, New England Adolescent Research Institute (NEARI), is a therapeutic educational organization operating in Holyoke, Massachusetts.  NEARI was founded in 1984 to treat troubled youth with learning disabilities, psychological disorders, and/or conduct disorders.  NEARI operates day schools for high school, middle school, and older elementary school students.  Additionally, NEARI offers an afternoon program, brain-based education and resource center, and a training and consulting center.
