Lauren Brenner, SPHR – President, HR ServicesDivision

As President of the Human Resources (HR) Services Division, Lauren is a highly-experienced HR Generalist and Consultant who brings more than 25 years of experience to our clients. Lauren provides best practices advice and services to organizations in a wide range of industries, and has been asked to present on a variety of HR-related topics to organizations including NEHRA (New England Human Resource Association), Chambers of Commerce and the Plymouth County Bar Association. Previously, Lauren had her own HR consulting practice before merging her practice with us, and has also worked in-house for organizations spearheading the HR Department for Jordan's Furniture, Boch Enterprises, and Quebecor World RPC. Lauren received her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Administration and Labor Relations from SUNY/Brockport and is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources through the Society of Human Resource Management.

Jim Hickey - Manager - Information Technology

Jim started at Telamon as an IT Consultant back in 2003. He worked to update the infrastructure and create a more efficient process. Not only does he bring years of exceptional experience to the team but helps to increase the company morale. As the IT Manager, Jim oversees all of Telamon's computing and networking infrastructure. His responsibilities range from purchasing, configuring, installing, training users, and resolving any of our other IT issues. His impeccable talent is not just demonstrated at work however. He is on the Board of the Cambridge Community Chorus which is a non-profit, non-audition community choral group. In 2007 their group won an award for Best Recording of a Live Performance and they continue to perform at a high level of excellence. Jim was even the producer of their 2008 Winter Concert and continues to be very active with the choral group.

Brian A. Johnson - Assistant Manager of Surplus Services

Brian has been with Telamon since 2007.  Initially brought on board as a Team Leader, Brian was promoted to Assistant Manager in Surplus Services in 2009.  He currently manages 10 Team Member and directs the resolution of Operational and Underwriting issues as needed.  Brian has 15 years of experience in the insurance industry, including positions in Claims, Underwriting, Sales, and Management.  Brian attended Tulane University and graduated from Clark University, receiving his MBA in 1994.  He enjoys spending time with his two sons and supporting the Celtics, Patriots, and Red Sox.  Brian is a CPCU and has both ARM and ARe Designations.

Margie E. Koenig - Manager of Talent Acquisition Services
Margie brings over 15 years of Human Resources (HR) experience to Telamon, including a strong foundation in compensation and job evaluation, recruitment strategy and building HR infrastructures.  As the point person for our Talent Acquisition Services, Margie is charged with building strong relationships with clients and ensures that our clients receive the best service to meet their immediate staffing needs. Additionally, she supports our clients in the areas of compensation, performance management and policy development. Margie’s background includes an executive management role at a global technology market research firm where she built and managed the HR infrastructure as well as a time in corporate compensation roles at a large insurance company. Margie holds a Masters degree in Education from Columbia University along with a Bachelor’s degree in communication from Indiana University.  Additionally, she obtained her Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) from World at Work and has been a member of SHRM and NEHRA over the years.

Elena Smalky - Vice President of Services, Marketing Associates Insurance

Elena has been with Telamon for 5 years.  She began in the insurance industry in 1978, bringing her vast knowledge to her role here at Telamon.  As the Vice President of Services, she oversees the department of eight Service Account Executives to provide day to day service to the insureds as well as client support.  She also plays the role of Account Executive and handles a book of business.  Her responsibilities also involve training and mentoring junior staff.  Elena enjoys classical music and attends concerts regularly.  She loves watching Red Sox and Patriots games.   Her passion is foreign travel with her three children, exploring different cultures and cuisines.  Designations held:  - CPCU, ARM, MA Brokers’ License and MBA in Finance (Boston College).

Elizabeth Grigalunas – Vice President of Surplus Services

Elizabeth joined Telamon in 1988, as the Manager of Surplus Services.  In 2006, she became Vice President of Surplus Services.  She is responsible for managing the company’s day to day operations of Surplus Services, where she co-manages her group with Dianne Sheedy.  Elizabeth concentrates on day to day operations of Broker and Insurance issues.  She primarily focuses on the underwriting aspects of Surplus Services.  Elizabeth belongs to the Boston Chapter of CPCU.  Her outside hobbies include golf and church activities.  She resides in Norwell, Massachusetts.  Designations held: CPCU and ARM.

Eileen West - Manager - Personal Lines

Eileen joined Telamon in the Surplus Services division in 1981, where she gained experience in both commercial and personal lines for the agency.  In April 2008, Eileen was named Manager of Personal Lines, overseeing all personal lines business.  Eileen's warm personality and impeccable customer services skills have helped her to build lasting relationships with her personal lines clients. Eileen is an expert in auto, homeowners, renters and property insurance. She is married with two grown boys and lives in Maynard, MA.  In her leisure time, Eileen enjoys watching Patriots games and Maynard Youth Football.
