Assistant Account Executive – MAI Service Department

 

GENERAL  DESCRIPTION:                    

Responsible for the day-to-day support to Account Executives.  This position will be a training ground for the employee to eventually move into an Associate Account Executive position. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Services.
                                               

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • • Provide general technical support to MAI Account Executives
  • • Issue certificates, binders, binder extensions, auto ID cards
  • • Invoice transactions for the MAI Service Department
  • • Assist in auto registration transactions, such as run MVR reports, issue RMV1 forms, dealership requests, • runner contact, check requests to Accounting Dept.
  • • Assist in generating loss notices to insurance carriers and follow up for acknowledgements, request loss runs from carriers
  • • Assist in gathering renewal information when necessary on large accounts, including client signatures on all applications, affidavits filings, surplus lines fees
  • • Filing and photocopy projects
  • • Request Workers Compensation Experience Modification Worksheets from carriers
  • • Request Certificate of Insurance from Worker’s Compensation Assigned Risk carriers

Benefits Account Executive

 

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Request census from client
• Process enrollments and changes on carrier website
• Request renewal rates from carrier at least 60 days prior to renewal
• Market new and renewal accounts for competitive quotes
• Follow-up with carriers for renewals and alternate quotes
• Provide general support to specified clients both health and 401k
• Obtain new business quotes for all lines of business
• Obtain policy number and complete benefits center descriptions in Agency Management System

Sales Executive 


The Sales Executive is responsible for prospecting, soliciting, proposing, and selling new
Commercial, Personal, Life and Benefits accounts; for ongoing counseling and marketing to
existing clients; and for meeting specific sales goals as determined by the Sales Executive
and Vice President of Sales.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Actively prospect for and solicit new clients.
• Create and maintain client/prospect lists using the computer system.
• Gather all information necessary to market a new business account, including client signatures on all applications, and complete all necessary applications using the computer.
• Provide assistance as needed to Service Account Executive in the preparation of proposal and present final proposal to prospect/client.
• Maintain technical expertise and brokers license through continuing education classes, company seminars, etc.
• Provide assistance to the Service Account Executive in the research of claims and claim reserves where necessary.
• Perform regular client visits and annual reviews as per the Commercial Department guidelines.
• Collect down payments and overdue accounts on agency billed policies once all efforts have been exhausted by the Accounting Department.
• Review renewals 120 days (or more) prior to expiration and assist Service Account Executive in the

preparation of a renewal plan on all accounts; i.e. re-marketing, pre-renewal letters to gather pertinent

renewal information , pre-renewal visits with clients.
• Meet with Service Account Executive on a weekly basis to review status of all business, new and existing.
• Maintain expiration list.


SPECIFICATIONS:

 • Prior Insurance experience and Sales experience desired
 • Brokers License.

Wholesale P&C Account Associate

 

The receptionist/assistant for the entities of the Telamon Insurance & Financial Network will be responsible for greeting visitors, answering bounce-back phone calls, assisting with accounting and administrative projects.

        Issue, when we do not have a carrier binder, and invoice binder

•        Issue certificates of insurance

•        Quote renewals assigned by Team Leader, based on authority and guidelines

•        Fax lapse letters

•       Type in-house endorsements and cancellations

•        Process legal notices, for other than non payment

•        Handle registry work on auto policies

•        Handle claims reporting on day of receipt, unless it is for a 1-800 carrier, or our in-house Lloyds policies

•        Order, through interface, standard market endorsements

•        Follow up for policies and endorsements issued by carriers

•        Review and process in-house audits within 24 hours

•        Forward appraisals and inspections, with rec letters, to brokers when applicable
